Laurent used to live in Romans-sur-Isère (France) also known as the capital of the shoes and luxury leather. The history of leather working and leather tanning activities, in this region goes back to the middle ages. For centuries this region of France has been providing the material ressources for the leather industry, hides, water and bark for tanning and the local people the workforce and the craftmanship. Since then the local artisans are still perpetuating the tradition and passing on the knowledge of luxury leather making. Laurent is very passionate about what he does and the quality of his leather work. In this trade the precision of the gesture, skills, patience and experience are a must. When you are crafting a leather object it’s not only leather and thread it is before all, art and tradition.
